Our responsibilities under the Consumer Guarantees Act
Overview
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the packaging it was sent to you in.
Because all of our goods are second hand, and in many cases antique (100 years or more old) they all come with the wear and tear that time and previous owners have put upon them. We describe our items clearly and carefully, so noticing wear and tear on an item you have purchased from us is expected and it is not grounds for a return or refund.
You can expect any second-hand products to:
- be fit for purpose
- be safe
- be free from major defects unless disclosed before sale
- look acceptable
- last for a reasonable amount of time.
But you can’t expect them to be the same as new products. Jewellery products with set stones that are second-hand run a higher risk of loosing stones than new items. Always inspect the settings of stones in jewellery carefully before wearing, we can’t replace lost stones or give refunds for them once they have been lost.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to you via a bank transfer. We will notify you when the transfer has been made.
Exchanges
Due to the unique nature of most of our products, we are not generally able to offer exchanges.
Repairs
In the event that a repair may be the best remedy to an issue we will make use of our own professional repair services to repair the goods to a suitable usable condition.
Shipping returns
To return your product, after contacting us to discuss your issue, you should mail your product to: WAIGOLD, 725C Grey Street, Claudelands, Hamilton 3216, New Zealand.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item without signature required shipping.
