This is a very special piece. It is a heart shaped open-back locket set with 63 lovely natural opals and set in 9kt solid (and marked) gold. The glass window on the back of the locket pops open to allow the insertion of a photo of your loved ones. This is the first time I have ever seen a piece like this and I don’t expect I will ever see another like it.
Condition is as to be expected for a vintage/antique piece like this. The stones are firmly set and the overall condition of the opals is excellent (three edge stones show minor chipping/abrasion that is not easily noticeable to the naked eye).
